Jay Agarwal, P.E., CEM
Founder/Principal

As Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Jay K. Agarwal, P.E., CEM presents over 38 years of experience in consulting engineering. He has managed multi-discipline design and engineering projects for complex buildings including new construction and renovations/additions. He takes an active role in day-to-day Quality Assurance, reviewing all work products in progress and final client submittals. He develops engineering cost estimates, participates in value engineering studies, and develops design and construction phase schedules. His design and project management skills have been applied to schools of higher education, K- 12 public and private schools, power generation and distribution facilities, laboratories, commercial building, pharmaceutical industry, medical facilities, offices, recreational facilities, and theatres.



George L. Reed, Jr.
Associate Principal

Mr. George L. Reed, Jr. has been with the firm for ten years and is an Associate Principal of the firm. He presents 38 years of applicable experience. Mr. Reed manages and directly performs existing condition surveys, design, installation and testing programs for power distribution, lighting, UPS, tele-communications, security and life safety systems in educational facilities, office buildings, pharmaceutical plants and laboratories, and diverse Government facilities to local, state and federal codes and applicable standards. He performs calculations, selects equipment, and oversees field design reports and provides construction estimates.



Ila Desai
Associate Principal

Ms. Desai has over 25 years of experience with emphasis on mechanical systems design including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems for schools, laboratories, hospitals, office buildings, banks, warehouses, museums, federal buildings, computer facilities, prisons, hotels, et. al. Her assignments have included design tasks for the New Jersey School Construction Corporation, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Middlesex County College, Guardian Drug Company, Faulding, Hoechst Celanese Corporation (Aventis), Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (Lederle), Prudential Financial Services Corporations, Squibb, Pfizer, Lilly, AT&T, Schering Plough Labs, Lyons Veterans Administration Hospital, New York Hospital, Queens Hospital, Brooklyn Hospital, New York Telephone Company, Metropolitan Museum of Art, GSA Federal Office Building, Toledo, Ohio, the Palace Hotel, United Jersey Bank, et. al.



Raj Srinivas, P.E., LEED AP
Sr. Associate

Mr. Srinivas has eight years of experience and has worked for A&J for six years. He is responsible for design and engineering of HVAC and plumbing systems for educational, industrial, institutional, pharmaceutical, and commercial buildings including condition surveys and system and component failure analyses, calculation of heating and cooling loads, flow diagrams, selection of chillers, boilers, AHUs, pumps, and design of ductwork and piping. Prepares construction drawings and specifications, reviews shop drawings and verifies construction work for conformance to design documents. Attends meetings with clients and owners. Coordinates work with other trades such as structural, electrical, architectural, fire protection, etc. His computer skills include AutoCAD 2002, Visual DOE 2.60-An Energy Analysis Software, Carrier Hourly Analysis Program Software & FIRE Elite Software.



Mitul Patel, P.E., LEED AP
Sr. Associate

Mr. Patel has been with the firm for five years. He manages assigned projects and supervises subordinate engineers and designers. He has been responsible for designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to local, state and federal codes and applicable standards and coordinating design efforts with other disciplines for educational, commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical facilities. He reviews designs for optimization and cost effectiveness. He develops design calculations including heating and cooling loads. He selects and sizes equipment and prepares associated equipment specifications and construction documents. He incorporates energy conservation techniques into all design assignments. He manages the construction phase of each assigned project. He is actively involved in other processes such as maintaining documents, project review, and preparation of weekly project status reports.



Raymond Wong
Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Mr. Raymond Wong presents over 11 years of experience in business management & Operations. Prior to joining A&J Consulting, Mr. Wong was a Fortune 500 executive managing business units for Harrah’s Entertainment and The Home Depot. In his role at A&J Consulting, he is focused on managing A&J’s HR, Finance, and Business Development functions. He takes an active role in day-to-day client management & overall management of projects at A&J. His experience with A&J has focused on educational, commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical industries.



Ahsan Haq
Chief Commissioning Engineer

As the chief commissioning engineer, Mr. Ahsan Haq presents over 30 years of engineering experience in Chemical and Pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech industry. As start-up engineer for American Cyanamid he has commissioned several multi-million dollar chemical plants. AT A&J, Mr. Haq is responsible for the preparation and executions of commissioning test plans, enhanced commissioning of engineering systems & management of multiple disciplined engineering projects for new constructions, renovations & additions. Mr. Haq has successfully commissioned over 20 systems and equipment for our Fortune 500 Client(s) in the Pharmaceutical/BioTech industry. He is trained in ASTM 2500E Verification Methodology and takes an active role in engineering drawing reviews, equipment selection, utilities requirements, instrumentation & controls scope review, prepare construction bid packages, construction management, interaction with equipment vendors & suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of equipment and services.
